Creating Personality
We start with what is different about you or your company, what will make you stand out from the rest. Since you already have a unique personality, we can build your site around what is already there. We will spend lots of time at the very beginning, and you will also, but the advantages of that effort will come into play at this stage, where we begin the actual design your site and give you a "look". We will not be guessing when it comes to what your website is going to be or what it will look like.
Usually, we like to create several different themes for your viewing. This is before the actual site building begins. This is more about the sites appearance, "the style", color, fonts, layouts. You may have fixed ideas about what you ultimately want, but sometimes it's better to create from the ground floor up - you may be surprised at the result. Once we've created several styles, then we will put each of those up on our MandalaWebDesign server for you to view, live on the internet. We give you some time to get used to each and compare each, then ask your opinion, what you like and don't like or what changes you would like to see. It's a process that we involve you in. It also gives us time to consider your overall look and talk with you about it before proceeding further. Since this is such an important step, we take the time to get it right.
Once we begin to settle on your unique look, it's then that the real work begins. We will detail your site with unique backgrounds, fonts and borders that all work together. We use color and placement to draw attention to where it is needed and create "flow" within your site, to make the viewer feel intuitively at ease. It's not always easy to keep it simple, but simplicity actually helps create a central focus within the site and give your viewer a strong impression of your purpose.
A typical website on the internet gets a glance of maybe 10-20 seconds average (if that). We keep this in mind each time we start a new site. It is our job to overcome that hurdle by creating something noteworthy that immediately evokes interest.
