Static vs Dynamic

Let's face it, web people don't speak English.   At least not in the sense you are used to.   Because of that very fact, there might be a chasm between your ideas and those of the "designer/webmaster".   Here at Mandala Web Design, we don't go there.   We always keep it simple for you, that's why you hired us.  There's no doubt, the technology is a pain to deal with.   But we can help by simplifying the basics, so you can make the right decisions.

Static  Sites :  A static site is a more basic approach to "a web presence" than a dynamic site.   In many situations, a static site is actually more appropriate.   It's also much cheaper, since we can build it faster without all the fuss of dealing with a database and all of its configurations.   A static site can look just as good as any dynamic site.   Just keep in mind there are no search functions or results from searches.    A visitor can't buy and pay for things on a static site.  It's a series of pages and they're all linked together as a complete site.   This site you are on now is a static site.  We also have examples of other static sites.   In our portfolio, we've separated sites so you'll see the differences.

Dynamic Sites:   In comparison, a dynamic site can do much more than a static site.   If you want to sell things or interact with the website viewer in other ways, then a dynamic site is the way to go.   We do most of the work for you and help you set up your store or service in a professional way.   We figure out all the ways you need to interact with your customers/visitors, and then we set up your site around being able to perform those tasks without it seeming awkward or overly complicated.   We try to make the experience seem intuitive or natural.   Check out some of our examples under dynamic sites.

Either way, we help you find the right fit and keep the cost as low as possible.
